"Feridan"

I still remember with great joy when Roberto Forsoni (kanyamakan kennel) finally contacted me to tell me there was a puppy available. Since then, it was a continuous wait and I admit that I spent whole days waiting for new photos of the litter. Until when the day arrived in which we went to Roberto’s house to take the puppy…I wanted a dog with expo prospects but doubtless it was him who picked us up by fawning around us and letting us cuddle him…it was love at first sight.    

Ferdi is son of al lu lua min layla, from the breeding Kanyamakan, and of Xab al walid, coming from the titled breeding of mata salamata’s. From his parents, he has inherited a captivating look, with a touching expression and an enviable elegance in both bearing and movement.

From the point of view of the character Ferdi is a sweet dog, sensitive like any other saluki worth of respect, although he is doubtlessly dominant towards his peers. At the same time, he knows how to be a good chief and the coexistence with two other male dogs has gone on without any problem.   

In the show-rings he has done great things, although we are not regular visitors. For instance, he has completed the Italian championship very soon (perhaps even too soon) at the age of 19 months and when he got the international one he was not yet 2 years old. His qualities have been confirmed not only by his results in the rings, but also by the breeders who have chosen him for their litters. Feridan is the father of the litter H kanyamakan and of the litter T tin hinan's… not so bad for a saluki with an owner a bit too lazy to cross the borders of his home country.
