When i decided to take another saluki it was not an easy choice, although I already had a better idea of the features and type of saluki I liked the most. Initially, I was oriented towards the American type of Saluki, even though I was unsure due to the breadth of the options and to the fact I had never had close ties with overseas breeders. One day, though, my friend Ombretta Casazza told me she was planning to have her dog “Azim Alfora Noble” breed with one of Elisa Muccini’s salukis (another friend of mine), namely “Basilissa semen”. Azim is a son of “Noble Singular Sensation” (Ashir), whilst Bassi is a daughter of “Sundown Shamshi-Adad” (brother of the famous Alabaster Treasure). Both Azim and Bassi are therefore nephews of the marvellous Clarinda Sunna Sarea Bashir. To make it short, for me it was like a dream. So came Seabiscuit-Sahil Bungalowbill “Blue”, a puppy in which since the very beginning I could foresee what I like the most of a saluki. His growth confirmed me and continues to confirm me very clearly my initial feelings about this wonderful saluki. Now that he’s 18 months old, I have no doubts. It perfectly embodies many of the saluki’s features I prefer. I really must thank so much the generosity of Elisa and Ombretta. If we talk of character then, I seriously run the risk of looking too sugary. So, I will limit myself to saying that I have never seen such a good-tempered and receptive dog as Blue…also for this you are already so exceptional to me!
